On the River Nore overlooking the Kilkenny Castle and across the street from a lively pub with live folk music, this upscale hotel in a classic mansion is a 4-minute walk from the Kilkenny Tourist Office and an 8-minute walk from the Rothe House & Gardens.
Traditional rooms featuring stylish country decor include tea and coffee making facilities, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Upgraded rooms have balconies and castle views. Suites have living areas and there is 1 with castle views and a balcony.
Breakfast is included. A refined restaurant has riverside dining. The Hotel is available for weddings and their ballroom holds 220. There are Double doors into ballroom and I was able to get in without opening second door. Doors are approx. 30 inches wide each.
There are various sized Meeting Rooms available and all are wheelchair Friendly.

From the entrance to the reception desk is on the level. The reception desk was at a fairly good height but the receptionist had to stand up to talk to me

Yes. There also a Bath in a separate area of the room which has grab rails around it
27″ X 2 Doors swing both ways and are easy to open and close. The Dining room was easy to get around. It is not too crowded and getting a wheelchair through is no problem. Staff are on hand to help in any way that is needed
